LOVELY ART DECO SUSIE COOPER COFFEE CUP AND SAUCER/ CABINET PIECE, c1930,s.
DECORATED WITH THE BLUE ASTERIX PATTERN. ASTERIX ON A CREAM GROUND, WITH THE SAME BLUE COLOUR INSIDE, WITH GOLD GILT EDGING TO OUTER RIM OF CUP AND SAUCER AND EDGE OF HANDLE.
BEAUTIFUL STYLISH DECORATIVE PIECE, DISPLAYS VERY WELL.
CUP MEASURES 5.7CM HIGH, DIAMETER OF SAUCER 11CM.
UNFORTUNATELY THE CUP HAS SOME CRAZING.
BLUE PRINTED MARKS TO BASE OF BOTH PIECES.
INSPITE OF THE DAMAGE THIS IS A LOVELY RARE SET AND THE DAMAGE TO THE CUP IS NOT EASILY SEEN UNLESS VIEWED CLOSELY, DISPLAYS VERY WELL. RARE COLLECTABLE
This item is vintage - no box but will be carefully wrapped when sent - some glaze cracking on the base of one of the cups - overall condition very good.
