    Description

    I am selling the Extremely Rare Hand-Written Copy of the United States Declaration of Independence in Miniature.
    This piece recently came from an estate here in Vermont and has never been offered for sale before.
    The piece is set in sterling silver with a glass crystal covering the Declaration.
    It measures 2 1/4" wide and 2 3/4" tall (not including the bale).
    The piece is entitled "Declaration of Independence".
    At the bottom, it says "Written by A. Shallenberger, Rochester, PA, July 18th, 1862.
    I believe that A. Shallenberger has ties to the U.S. Civil War.
    I am also including a miniature prayer entitled "Our Father", written by the same author and also set in sterling silver.
    This piece measures about 5/8" in diameter.
    The set comes with the period case, as shown.
    This set will be offered without reserve and sold to the highest bidder.
